GRAVE DIGGER To Play First-Ever U.S. Gig In June
December 5, 2003German power metallers GRAVE DIGGER have posted the following message on their official web site:
"Dear Friends, Fans and MetalHeadZ,
"It's Christmas time and new year is coming soon. That means also that The Rheingold Tour hits the road in a couple of weeks.
"We are working hard at the production and we'll show you some very special 'true metal' effects. We also worked out an special setlist with all time classics and some songs we didn't play a long time ago. The show will take you for 105 minutes to Metal Heaven.
"Manni has a new guitar, built by Rob Koufmann in the US and we bought also new (old) amplifiers and cabinets. This stuff is from the 70ties from a band called BULLET. This sound kicks really ass and fits perfectly to Manni's play. We also use pyro effects again (only in Germany, Austria and Switzerland). We'll take a lot of lightning effects too with us (all countries).
"Please notice that the show in Bochum at the 11th of January is moved from the Matrix to our favorite club Bochum Zeche.
"The show on the 19th in Slovenia/Lubiljana is moved to a bigger place call SC Triglav. The presales are so good that the first venue was sold out very fast. Greece will be happen at the end of April. We are waiting for the confirmation of Athens and Thessaloniki.
"Beginning of June we'll fly to the States to play our first American gig ever.
"During the tour we'll start to write the new stuff for the next record which will see the light of day in January 2005.
"We'll create very special merchandise for the tour which you can't buy only at the shows or on our new 'Graveyard Merchandise Store', which will be ready before Christmas."
